A New Free Worksheet for Navigating Life’s Uncertain Chapters
Change is one of the few things we can all guarantee will happen, yet that doesn’t necessarily make it easier. Whether it’s a new beginning, an unexpected ending, a change in circumstances, a shift in identity, or simply not knowing what comes next, uncertainty can be deeply uncomfortable. Many of us naturally look for certainty, reassurance, and answers, only to discover that some chapters of life require us to move forward before everything makes sense.
Over the years, both personally and professionally, I’ve noticed that people are often far more capable than they give themselves credit for. Yet when we’re standing in the middle of uncertainty, it’s easy to forget that. We focus on what we don’t know rather than everything we have already survived, adapted to, and overcome. Sometimes what we need isn’t a perfect plan. Sometimes we need a safe space to pause, reflect, and remember that uncertainty is not the same thing as danger.
◆ Introducing the New Free Worksheet
Being Okay with Change and Uncertainty is a free reflective worksheet designed to support people who are navigating transitions, unfamiliar situations, life changes, or periods where the future feels unclear.
Rather than encouraging forced positivity or pretending difficult feelings don’t exist, this resource gently explores how we can develop greater trust in ourselves whilst moving through uncertainty. It creates space for reflection, emotional awareness, self-compassion, and a deeper understanding of how change affects us psychologically.
The worksheet includes:
• Reflective questions
• Guided sentence starters
• Mindfulness and grounding practices
• Accessible psychological explanations
• Opportunities to explore resilience, adaptation, emotional flexibility, and self-trust
◆ Who Is This Worksheet For?
This worksheet may be helpful for anyone experiencing:
• major life transitions
• relationship changes

• periods of waiting or not knowing
It is suitable for individuals exploring these themes independently, as well as therapists, counsellors, coaches, support workers, and other helping professionals who may wish to use it with clients.
The exercises are written in a universal way, making them adaptable to many different situations and experiences.
◆ Why We Often Struggle With Uncertainty
One of the things I find most fascinating about uncertainty is that many of us treat it as if it’s a problem that must be solved immediately.
We look for certainty.
We search for guarantees.
We want to know how everything will turn out.
Yet life rarely offers that level of clarity.
Often, growth happens in the spaces where we don’t yet have the answers.
Many of the most significant experiences in our lives involve some degree of uncertainty:
• starting something new
• ending something familiar
• taking a risk
• trusting ourselves
• moving towards something meaningful
The challenge is not learning how to control the future. The challenge is learning how to remain grounded whilst the future unfolds.
◆ What the Worksheet Explores
Throughout the worksheet, you’ll be invited to gently explore:

One of the most powerful things about reflection is realising that many of the experiences we thought we were carrying alone are often shared by others.
Sometimes uncertainty feels a little lighter when we realise we’re not navigating it by ourselves.
